Bus Transformation

As summer transitions to fall the bus seems to be changing as quickly as the season. We have removed much of the interior and are working on designing and building seating, work stations and plenty more. The bus is now covered in Temptation Grey with the back van being sprayed with a slightly green robins egg blue. Soon we hope to have the logo and website painted on in the same blue as well as gold highlights.

Hi! My friend, Nancy, just e-mailed me to tell me that your bus would be stopping at the University of Wisconsin- Platteville soon. Here’s a quote from the e-mail (which is actually from you guys): “We’ll stop our bus, and you and your friends come share what you love to do with us. Then we all figure out if there’s cool collaboration to be had, and if so, we have fun making something awesome together and display it on our website.”

The cool thing that I do is fabric printing. I take digital art and photography and print it on fabric using Spoonflower . Perhaps you’ve heard of it? I’m feebeedee. And I’d love to collaborate, to make use of my talents in a positive way with others. Phoebe

    Hi Phoebe,

Thanks for getting in touch with us. We will be at UW-Platteville Thursday November 3rd from 12:00-6:00pm please come by at any time we would love to hear more about your work and show you the bus. Printing on fabric sounds really neat and perhaps we can figure out a way to feature some of your work on the bus, if the weather is nice and you want to bring a print we can hang it on the outside. Thanks, hope to see you tomorrow,

      Hey Alex,
I did stop by. Your bus is awesome! But I had to squeeze some classes in, so I couldn’t stay long. It looked great, and it was neat to see people interacting around it. I gave you a bag of fabric yesterday, and am happy with whatever you decide to do with it- give it away, curtains, posters, pillows, fancy rags, I just want to clarify one thing and that is that I think there’s a piece in there that I didn’t design. It’s the cream knit with the legend character hexagons on it. That one was designed by Erick Vermillion: http://www.spoonflower.com/profiles/verminbury
You can totally still use it, I just didn’t want to take credit for it. You can see mine here: http://www.spoonflower.com/profiles/feebeedee
I got a couple of good pictures of the bus. As soon as I download them to Flickr I’ll send you a link. Phoebe
PS. Your contact form doesn’t seem to be working.
